Swedish Massage provides relaxation by using long strokes that detoxify the body, soothe sore muscles, relieve tension, and stimulate circulation.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). Integrated Energy Therapy:
IET is a gentle, hands on healing technique that helps to reduce stress, release trauma and to balance and empower yourself.
Cranial Sacral Therapy:
A gentle, non-invasive type of massage involving the cranial bones, spinal cord and sacrum that balances the flow of cerebral spinal fluid. It can treat many ailments including migraines, headaches, anxiety, PTSD, autism, fibromyalgia, concussions, nervous system disorders and more.
Cupping (Currently not available due to COVID protocols)
Fixed Cupping involves creating a suction with the cup for 5-15 minutes. This can cause a mark to form depending on the amount of congestion in the area being treated. Moving Cupping is when oil or lotion is applied to the skin before creating a suction with the cup and moving it around the area. Both techniques work to loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and increase Qi energy.

Massage for Children
Massage is a wonderful stress-buster for children. It is soothing, relaxing and healing to help and assist children with development and sleeping. Through massage, they relax and their bodies quiet down. A gentle gliding stroke is applied to infants. As the child grows older, the massage grows with them to include work on the feet, fingers, and toes, and use of different types of strokes and techniques.
We offer 15-20 minute massages for infants to age 9 accompanied by a parent in the room. Longer sessions can be overstimulating or even uncomfortable for a younger child with a short attention span.
For ages 10-15, we offer a 30-minute massage accompanied by a parent in the room. Massage can help preteens and teens struggling with the growing pains of adolescence, relieve anxiety and can increase their feelings of self-acceptance and self-confidence during their formative years.
Teens ages 16-18 years old can receive 30-60 minute massages with or without a parent in the room depending on their comfort level. For athletic teens or those still experiencing growing pain, sports massage techniques and stretching can be beneficial in soothing their aches and pains. A relaxing massage is beneficial for high stress, anxiety or those struggling with health or psychological behavioral problems. A combination of both sports, stretching and relaxation can be applied as well for maximum benefits.
